国家公园坐落于彭亨、吉兰丹和登嘉楼三州交界处，分属三州管辖，各地分别遵循所属州的法律，其中以彭亨所占部份最大，共2477平方公里；吉兰丹部份占1043平方公里；登嘉楼部份占853平方公里。（因大汉山座落于此，所以别名大汉山国家公园。）拥有世界上最古老的热带雨林。

公园地处蒂蒂旺沙山脉之中，该处的热带雨林已有一亿三千万年的历史。约在白垩纪时已经形成，比刚果和亚马逊热带雨林还要古老，因此其生物多样性相当丰富。

大汉山国家公园的生态景观已成为马来西亚著名的旅游项目。公园内具有多处地质学和生物学景点。大汉山是西马的最高峰，公园内还存在着许多珍稀的动物，如马来亚虎、食蟹猴、苏门答腊犀牛、大眼斑雉、红原鸡、印度野牛和亚洲象等。特别是极其稀少的鳳冠孔雀雉在此亦有分布。大汉河（Sungai Tahan）也是濒危物种吉罗鱼（Tor tambroides）的保护地。

瓜拉大汉（公园彭亨区总部所在地）附近的还有其他一些景点，包括冠层天桥、耳洞（Gua Telinga)等。

国家公园算是世界上最古老的热带雨林所以许多外国游客都闻名而来，所以国人也应该见识我们国家珍贵的资产和历史。

Itinerary
3 Days 2 Night Taman Negara
7-9June 2014
Day 1
8.00am Pick up at KL
12.00pm Lunch
2.00pm Arrive at Kuala Tahan ( Taman Negara ). .
7.00pm Dinner at Resort /local restaurant.
8.30pm Introduction to Taman Negara through watching Video Show and posters at the
Interpretive Room. Thereafter, night walk to Tahan Hide to observe wildlife, continue
with insect safari in the jungle. Bring along a torch light.
Day 2
7.30am Breakfast at Resort I Local restaurant.
8.30am Jungle trek to Teresek Hill (344M). From the hilltop and in clear sky, you may be
able to see the peak of Gunung Tahan (2,187M), the highest mountain in Peninsular
Malaysia. On return trekking, you are invited to challenge the canopy walkway which
was installed above 30-50M from the ground.
1.00pm Lunch
2.30pm Gua Telinga (E* Cave) exploration, Bring along a torch light as at}re cave is dark.
4.30pm Shooting the rapids. Experience 45 minutes of sheer thrill as you and your boatmates
negotiate 6 sets of rapids to Kuala Trenggan, up stream of Sungai Tembeling. You
must be prepared to get drenched ! On the way back, visit to Orang Asli settlement.
7.00pm Dinner at Resort I local restaurant. Free and easv.

Day 3
7.30am Breakfast at Resort I local restaurant.
12.00pm Check-out and leaving Taman Negara and proceed your journey home.

p/s:我调查了国家公园大小不一的度假村，评价最好的是Mutiara Resort,所以这次就选这家，它就在国家公园里可以更亲近大自然和各种面临绝种的动物。
